“ The Americana is such a gorgeous outdoor mall. During the holidays, it's especially beautifully decorated. I would highly recommend the tram ride. It's free and informative, but also feels like it was sponsored by half the shops along the way (based on all the store shoutouts over the loudspeaker). The Santa's workshop is cute but seems ridiculously expensive. Unfortunately most nice and regular stores have been replaced with high end designer stores (like Gucci and Golden Goose). These stores appeal way less to most consumers, and are usually quite empty. I wish they would bring back more normal stores, but I guess they're leaving the lower end stores to Glendale Galleria. ”
“ We like the Americana at Brand. We always make a trip here during the Christmas season to do some shopping, ride the trolley, and see the decorations. The Americana is an open air mall right across from the Galleria. The stores are mostly of the "upscale" variety. They do have an AMC movie theater and a Barnes & Noble as well. There's a fun fountain the middle of the complex that does a water show. My kids love the trolley that just takes you around the mall. The only downside to the Americana is the parking. It's a little on the pricey side, and it's difficult to get in and out of. Getting out is the worst. Definitely recommend a visit during the holidays for some shopping. ”
“ The Americana at Brand is a vibrant and inviting place that truly has it all. From its stunning architecture and central fountain to its luxurious shopping and dining options, it's a destination that feels like an escape from the ordinary. Whether I'm shopping for the latest styles, enjoying a delicious meal, or just strolling around with my family, the Americana never disappoints. My kids love the trolley ride and open grassy area to play, while I appreciate the mix of high-end and everyday stores. The live music and seasonal decorations add an extra touch of charm, making every visit feel special. The only downside is that it can get crowded, especially on weekends, but the atmosphere is so lively that it's part of the experience. It's a great spot for a day out, whether you're shopping, dining, or just relaxing and people-watching. ”
“ When the Americana first came on the scene, I really truly didn't like it. It seemed fake and not fun and overly stylized but now I am completely on board. ”
“ The Americana at Brand is my favorite place to show traveling friends around, there are so many shops and restaurants here. I love their holiday decor, especially in the evening, it makes everything such a vibe! It feels like it's the holidays at the Americana. ”
“ Great place to shop, eat whangout with friends and family. It's nearby the Glendale Galleria. One location with two awesome places to visit. Love the Barnes and noble book store and many others shops. However it's kind of too warm in the summer as it's an outdoor shopping area. ”
“ Wow! I was blown away by how beautiful this place was. You can tell that every single detail was thought of. Everything from the parking lot to the bathrooms were nice. We enjoyed the fountains with the shows every hour. My kids enjoyed every aspect of the location. They convinced me to take the elevator to the 7th floor which I'm glad they did. It was an amazing view! We went during the day during week. So it was nice and calm. We will definitely go back. Oh and see if the store you visit validates to save money on parking. ”
“ Many people think of "The Americana at Brand" in Glendale being strikingly similar to "The Grove" in Los Angeles. However, I consider Glendale to be more out in the suburbs and is more within residents that live in nearby Burbank, Pasadena, and La Cañada Flintridge. Located over several blocks, the entire shopping, dining, entertainment and residential complex (condos/apartments) is surrounded by E. Colorado St, S Columbus Ave, W Broadway, and Brand Blvd. Some of the key anchor stores/retailers are Nordstrom, AMC Theaters, and Barnes & Noble. Since I have a ton of family in the Los Angeles area, I remember visiting Glendale as a child back in the 1980's and an adult in the 1990's. I will say that this entire area has been absolutely transformed with the addition of many new retail/food businesses. And around the late-2010's was when this place was officially given the name "Americana at Brand". I will tell you that on any given day, this place gets packed! However, there is a multi-story parking garage that lies directly adjacent to this center that can reduce the stress of parking. And to those that might not to do all that walking (this place is HUGE), there is a free internal trolley service that can shuttle its customers around the entire complex. Many people though want to know, what stores do they have here?? Well, instead of naming all 80+ of them, I will list some of the more popular retailers & restaurants (in no particular order). This includes retailers Apple, Gucci, H&M, Urban Outfitters, Saint Laurent, Nespresso, See's Candies, Tesla, Nike, and Sephora. And more of the popular restaurants including Cheesecake Factory, Chick-Fil-A, Mendocino Farms, Shake Shack, Eggslut, and Crumbl Cookies. As I mentioned, there are too many to list but this gives you a general idea of what type of stores are here. I also wanted to add that business hours (which can vary from store to store) are Mon-Thu 10-9, Fri-Sat 10-10, and Sun 11-8. In addition to this place offering major retailers, it also boasts Waters of Americana which is a musical fountain offers entertainment for its guests. And if you happen to come here during the holiday season (late-Nov to late-Dec), they offer fake snow (as if you're in a winter wonderland), Christmas carols, and a Christmas tree lighting ceremony. In my opinion, it is probably one of the more well-executed outdoor malls in all of California. My rating, four solid stars. ”
“ I love it here!!! They are making this mall better and better with upscale stores. They just added Gucci recently and now adding Louis Vuitton and Bottega Venetta! They have so many more stores to shop and eateries, such as Cheesecake Factory, Frida's Mexican cuisine. The movie theatre's is here too! So much for you to do! The service is always good here and the selections have improved. The prices are pretty pricey but worth it! I love the Gucci store here and YSL store!! So many selections!!! They have Haggen Daz too! Just so much here with a great atmosphere. I recommend the Americana if you have not been here yet! -Marshay D. ”
